About

Located just south of beautiful Riding Mountain National Park on Highway 10, the Erickson Lutheran Church holds services Every Sunday at 10:30 am throughout the year. Special Christmas and Easter Services are held as well. Communion Services are held at the Erickson Personal Care Home and Sandy Lake Retirement Home every month.
We are and affirming church with an “open table”. All are truly welcome.
Our church has several activities for the congregation to get involved including: Choir, Erickson Lutheran Women (ELW), Youth Confirmation activities, Sunday School, Summer Faith Outdoors, along with services in the local communities. Marriage preparation, baptismal instruction, spiritual care support, grief and crisis counselling are offered.
Our Mission
We are a worshipping, learning, witnessing and serving community of baptized members who strive to live out and share the Living World. We follow the traditions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). We strive to welcome all the receive and participate in experiencing the gospel in worship and in our daily lives in our communities.
Our Congregation
The faith community at Erickson Lutheran Church is rich with musical talent. We enjoy gospel music at our services and welcome people to join the co-ed choir (Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.). Everyone that wishes can take turns at the readings, hosting or being an usher at the Sunday services. WE are called to love our neighbour as we do ourselves, as the One who loves us beyond all understanding.
We strive to be the church and help each other to experience the Gospel, the good news of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, and what that means for us today.
Our relationship with God is by faith through grace, not earned through our effort but given freely by divine mercy. This central belief emphasizes the equality of all people before God. We serve as Christians in all aspects of society and our communities, and we promote justice, inclusion, truth and reconciliation to help heal and meet human needs. We are able to do this through our faith, prayers, and worshipping together, and also with support from Manitoba/Northern Ontario Synod.
Pastor Heather Parrott-Howdle (she/her)

I live just outside of Erickson and am proud to be married to my life partner Sue for 21 years. I also grateful for my children and their partners: Eric (Ashley), and Sara (Dillan) for their love and support.
After working as a Physiotherapist for 38 years, I accepted the call to further serve my community as a Pastor here at Erickson Lutheran Church. I strive to demonstrate the message of love and forgiveness of the gospel through my lens and the theology of the cross.
My prayer is to share with others what having faith in Jesus Christ can do for them. It has helped me through many challenges in my life.
We are an open table congregation and provide a non-coercive safe place in the church for anyone who is or feel marginalized.
Let my heart be good soil for the living Word, answering the call to ordained ministry for my home church, to share the good news of God’s Free Grace, through social justice in our communities and weekly worship and events.

CHOIR –Come, raise your voice in song!

The Erickson Lutheran Church Choir has been inspiring congregations and entertaining audiences for years. The Male Chorus and the Ladies Choir joined a few years ago to create the uplifting choir that exists today.

Sunday School
Welcome to Sunday School! This is a very special time during the service when our youngest congregation members are invited to enjoy a moment of learning, especially for them!
Children enjoy stories, songs, and are encouraged to share what they know of the Bible and God’s Word. We hope to see you there!
At this time, Sunday School is held only on the First Sunday of the Month during our worship service.
